about us

Our story begins a little over a decade ago during the early 2000’s in graduate school tax class at the University of Washington.  Jeff handed his phone number to Kristen in case she had “homework questions.”  I know you are all thinking that we couldn’t have possibly met in a more romantic setting (perhaps it was the ambiance set by the projector displaying the tax code) but Kristen actually did call Jeff for homework questions.  And the rest is history or so the saying goes (i.e. the Reddy and Clark adventures begin).

While we are tax accountants by day and mostly couch potatoes by night (at least during the week – numbers can be draining) we spend weekends out and about, mostly in the Pacific NW area surrounding Seattle where we call home.  We also escape to other parts of the world at least a couple times a year which usually results in increased wanderlust as we learn about new places each time we venture out, Kristen kicking herself for not spending more time learning foreign languages, and too many photos to sort through.

As a result of all of this, we have decided to take some time off from our dangerous and exciting lives as tax accountants and plunge ourselves into the world of travel for a few months.  We have plans to travel between 6 – 8 months starting in December of 2015.  We’re excited for what this planet has to show us.

Since you’re still reading here’s a little more…

  • Our two dogs come along with us on local adventures  – Winston the pug and Tulee the Boston terrier.  They even have their own life jackets and rain coats for said adventures.
  • We (minus the dogs) road cycle during Seattle summers and have participated in a 2-day bike ride from Seattle to Vancouver, BC for the past 5 years.  The ride is around 200 miles and with some real nice scenery along the way.
  • Jeff’s ongoing project is restoring a 1972 FJ-40 Land Cruiser.
  • Kristen likes all things crafts and oftentimes tries to get Jeff to craft with her.  See above for what Jeff does instead.

Thanks for visiting our site and we hope you enjoy, or at least click through a few pages so our viewer numbers go up.  That makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside.
